Donal Plunkett CEO

A founding member of gbet and formerly Chief Technology Officer, Donal is responsible for the management and operation of gbet's mission critical technology and systems, and the delivery of new and innovative technology to support gbet's Exchange and Broker network. Donal has over twenty years' experience in a variety of senior technology roles, specializing in high availability solutions for internet and online businesses. Donal holds an MBA from University College Dublin and a BSc from Dublin City University.

Bernard Darcy (FCCA)Financial Controller

Bernard is ACCA Certified Accountant and has been Financial Controller with gbet since 2016. From 2013 to 2016 Bernard was Financial Accountant with Ladbrokes and held the same role with Chronicle Bookmakers since 2008 prior to acquisition by Ladbrokes Group now Entain.

Aidan ClarkeDirector of Product

Aidan holds an MSc in Digital Innovation from Smurfit Graduate Business School (2015). He worked for Betdaq and Ladbrokes in various operational, commercial, trading, and technical roles before joining gbet in 2014. He has led the redesign of gbet's Sportsbook platform, sports data feed management, and has moved both new and existing clients to the cloud. Currently, he is focused on ensuring that every product decision aligns with gbet’s overall strategic objectives and that gbet's product suite remains compelling and competitive. Aidan has represented Ireland in Fencing at multiple World and European Championships.

Bradley OwensBusiness Relationship Manager

Bradley holds a BA in Computer Science from Trinity College, Dublin (1994) and a DBS from University College Galway (1995). He worked for 11 years in various software engineering roles in Microsoft and HSBC as well as other contracting positions in Ireland, Australia & the US. He joined gbet in 2006 working with the Exchange and Sportsbook products managing clients relationships, product enhancements and third party integrations. His current brief is managing GBET's US ADW business.

Simon McCabe Director of Engineering

Simon holds a MSc (1st) in Applied Mathematics and Computing from University of Limerick (1992). Working as a member of an International Automation Tools group for Lotus/IBM took him to Silicon Valley in the mid 90's where he spent 7 years working for or consulting to IBM, Bank of American, Charles Schwab, McKesson and PG&E. Currently he is driving initiatives such as the adoption of DevOps principles, small/large redesign/refactoring works and Cloudification of our platform. Out of work his interests include music, cooking, travel and trekking.
